Stuart Smith, FCS, Inc. CFO, was named to the Dan River District (RDA) board on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. The RDA is comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors focused on the revitalization of the City of Danville and neighboring communities.

FCS Industrial Solutions was called in to action late in the evening to respond to a major chemical spill and fire in southwestern Virginia. The fire was caused by an electrical malfunction within a piece of production equipment, and the fire caused several chemical lines to burst. 

Thomas Collins, Operations Manager with FCS Industrial Solutions, has received his HAZWOPER40 certification. Collins is a ten year veteran of the Danville Fire Department and a current member of the tactical rescue unit for the city of Danville, Virginia.

FCS Industrial Solutions is now a registered contractor with ISNet. ISNet is a third party resource for large industrial facilities.  It allows companies to review contractors and make safe decisions concerning which outside vendors to utilize. ISNet maintains safety, insurance, quality and regulatory information on contractors and suppliers can often be a strain on internal resources. ISN streamlines these processes, saving time and improving safety standards.

FCS Industrial Solutions has been awarded the contract for equipment cleaning at a major manufacturing facility in Virginia.
