Buddy Smith
Founder, FSC, Inc.

Buddy Smith is the founder of FCS, Incorporated. Smith founded FCS, Inc. in 1988. He is a 1976 graduate of Averett University and holds degrees in both Business Management and Mathematics. After college, Smith entered the Kroger Company as a store manager and served in that capacity for eight years. He then took a position with Diamond Paper Company, a janitorial and paper supply company based in Danville, Virginia. Smith quickly became Diamond’s janitorial expert, servicing many major accounts throughout North and South Carolina. During that time, Smith trained housekeeping departments for major universities, hospitals, nursing homes, and industrial plants.

As an expert in the field, Smith was featured in training videos produced by Johnson Diversey, the largest janitorial chemical manufacturer in the world. Smith left Diamond Paper Company in 1998 to focus on the expansion of FCS, Incorporated. Buddy retired at the end of 2015, but his mark on the business will never leave.

 

 

Conrad Smith
CEO, FCS, Inc.

Conrad Smith currently serves as the CEO and majority owner of FCS, Inc. and FCS Industrial Solutions. The oldest son of founder Buddy Smith has tripled the size of FCS, Incorporated since his hiring in the spring of 2005.

The Smith is a 2003 graduate of Danville Community College, a 2005 graduate of Averett University with a degree in Political Science, a 2006 graduate of Johnson Diversey’s Building Service Contracting Institute in Racine, Wisconsin, and in 2009 received his designation as a Certified Building Services Executive (CBSE) through the Building Service Contractors Association. He continues his industry education by attending national conferences and training sessions twice a year. Smith oversees all daily operations for the janitorial and industrial solutions business, with a focus on major account development.

 

 

Stuart Smith
CFO, FCS, Inc.

Stuart Smith serves as CFO and Vice President of FCS, Inc. and FCS Industrial Solutions. The youngest son of founder Buddy Smith, he oversees all financial operations for the company on both the janitorial and industrial sides.  He graduated as valedictorian from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia before attending The College of William and Mary where he graduated with high honors and a degree in history.

Prior to joining FCS, Inc., he spent several years working in operations for a large international patent law firm in northern Virginia. He oversees all aspects of the back office and financial operations for the company and holds a minority ownership stake.

 

 

Damon Foster
Director of Operations, Central & Southwest Virginia, FCS, Inc.

Damon Foster joined FCS, Inc. in October 2022. 

 

 

Kenny Payne
Director of Operations, Southern Virginia, FCS, Inc.

Kenny Payne joined FCS, Inc. in 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Operations for Southern Virginia on the janitorial side of the business.  Kenny is a 2000 graduate of Tunstall High School and a 2005 graduate of Averett University with a degree in Physical Education.  After graduating college, Kenny formed his own renovation company in Danville, Virginia.  Kenny ran his company successfully for five years prior to joining FCS, Inc.

In the spring of 2010, he saw a great opportunity to bring his management skills in to the FCS family.  Kenny currently handles all daily operations for FCS, Incorporated in Danville and Martinsville, Virginia.  As the leading service provider in southern Virginia, FCS, Incorporated services millions of square feet each and every day.  In addition to his responsibilities on the janitorial side, Kenny assists with various operational needs on the industrial side as well.

 

 

Kim Wyatt 
Office Administrator, FCS, Inc.

Kim Wyatt joined FCS in 2016 and serves as the office administrator. She graduated from Averett University with a Bachelors of Finance. Prior to joining FCS, Inc. she worked for 15 years in various administrative positions with Danville Regional Medical Center and Lifepoint Hospitals.  She handles all office functions out of the corporate office in Danville, Virginia.
